Who ever says there is no enlightenment in Christianity will be mistaken. "Why? " you may ask.
Just look at the man Jesus. He is no ordinary man but the God in man. He is ever so peaceful. He moved around the meek and downtrodden. He offered hope to them and brought them peace that even those with more could not have.
Jesus did not commit any crime |
Even at the cross, he was peaceful and thoughtful of the criminals on the crosses beside him. Even though mocked as a criminal and condemned to the cross, he had no ill will towards his detractors, prosecutors and their henchmen. He had only love and forgiveness for them who wanted him tortured, tormented and dead.
Surely such a person was and is no ordinary man, not just man but beyond what a man could be. He was then above many many men but yet he was man. He was divine and yet still man. He was of flesh and blood. Blood oozed out of the nail holes from his palms.
Who would not be won over by him except those who have no heart or who are not true at heart.
After crucifixion, he was lowered down and left in a tomb as dead and lifeless But he rose on the third day, ascended and went up the mountain. He still bore the marks of the nails that pierced his palms. There was no mistake about that.
His followers vouched that he rose from the dead but be this true or not, one fact remains true to this day. There is no doubt he was seen on the third day and there were wounds with blood in his palms. That he could walk tall and exuded serenity soon after being nailed and left for dead was a wonder of the times and remained as awesome as ever even today. This amazes and injects wonder and lights up the spirit and souls of men to this day.
He was made to die but did not. He not only lived on but liven up the lives of men then and even till today. He is as wondrous and awesome beyond what men could be. Surely he is divine and more than man. His divinity is as good as the highest in the heavens. He is God or beside God, like the saints and prophets of God in the various religions and sects of the day.
To Buddhists and Taoists, he is the accomplished one - a posat or Buddha To Christians, he is more than that. He is God. What matters is that he has heart to win over men and bring them to God. He is Man. He is God. He is the embodiment of the spirit or goodness of Heaven. This his followers refer to as the Holy Spirit.

He has a place for everyone in his heart. He wants you to let him be in your heart. That is the greatness and love that are as vast as the ocean that reaches out to many men and many shores, that reaches not only to Christians but also to those who are not.
What matters is not the branding but that men are won over by him - the one and only Jesus Christ. Let not men divide men as Christians and non Christians but as one in God, Christ and saints regardless of religion, sect or affiliation.
This post is consistent with the inner truth doctrine of Lord Bo Tien that we can reach God in any religion and that we respect all saints. God provides for not one religion or saint but many. It is the zest and passion of adherents of religion or sect that tries to make their sect or religion exclusive.
One can learn more of God through other saints or religions and this will in turn make them better off in whatever religion they may be in. The love of Jesus is magnificent and awesome and adherents of any religion or sect will agree. Even when subjected to the throes of pain on the cross and verbal torment, his love for men was unwavering.
Universal love for life is central to being God-centric and the love demonstrated by Jesus will definitely augment the spiritual grasp and development of any man regardless of their religious affiliation.
His love was awesome, unsurpassed and unparalleled in the history of man and even when cowed by the mighty Roman lords, he stood his ground. He would rather face torture and torment on the cross than to sell away his values and principles.
All these for the love of men, so that they would know what true love is and so that they would taste the love of God. He is after all son of God, not just son of man.
The king of the land might be able to crucify his body but no way could his love of men be crucified or stifled. The embodiment of love of God in Christ Jesus the lord is beyond crucifixion.
The gift of God in Jesus is for all men and not the purview of designated men - the pharisees or elitists among men. Thank God, this is not the case.
