The sun in our life

No 21 of Living Life Series 1

Have we been able to make life work for us? Or, are we working for life? What is the difference? The difference lies in the approach.

In one, we are just pushing on and life is our master. We dread life.

In the other, we want to be on top and to see the joy and blessings. There is no time to waste away in other matters. We do what we can and move on.

We enable life and create more life in our life. We make life blossom for us and not let the downs cast shadow of gloom. We stay in the sunshine of the rising sun of life. That is the way to go.

We enable our spirit in life and not disable ourselves in doom and gloom. We stay in sunshine of life and of the heavenly saints like Lord Bo Tien. We welcome the heavenly saints to shine up our life so that big issues become small issues and small issues be no issues. We grow, glow and blossom in divine sunshine. We go along with their guidance.

When sun rises, men must rise and shine. When sun sets, men must rest. (Some though do rest by day and work by night.) Men must be at peace come day or night. This is the way to live life. Thus did Lord Bo Tien remind us.

Be at peace with day and night. There will be blessings unique to either day or night. The wise one is at peace come sunrise or sunset.

The seated image of Lord Bo Tien reminds us to balance sunrise and sunset by being at peace in life. Sunrise and sunset are depicted by the two elements under His feet. His left hand in salutation bids us to go for the inner peace in life. His right hand holds on to the sceptre of truth and divinity. We too must hold on to  the divine truth and guidance through our respective religions.
