Live life in the present

No 2 of Living life series 1

The past is history. The present is a present and the future is yet to be.

Many of us like to day dream of the glorious past and bask in past glory to extent that we neglect the present.

Many too are burnt by the past unhappiness so much so that they brood and sulk. Time flies bye and soon today becomes tomorrow and another issue or day to brood about.

We can learn from the past and apply to the present. The present well lived is a blessing and a joy. But do not live in the future and day dream for we will only let time and opportunities slip bye.

We must anchor ourself in the present and balance the past and the future by living the life today based on what we learn from the past and what we would like to have in the future.

But live the real life which is today. To live an indulgent life as though there is no tomorrow and to repeat past folly is to dig our own hell and to be a fool and is unwise.

We must wise up and live life here and now mindful not just of the past but what may happen in the future.

What we do today will shape our tomorrow and what we can have today is in a way due to the past.

The image of Lord Bo Tien with both feet balancing the two elements in a way tells us to balance the past and the future by going forward for today.

His left hand in salutation bids us to be steady and to go for the day mindful of the past and the future.

We must be like the lord saint to hold on to the septre of divine guidance in what ever we do.Then we will have easier time and be at peace.

Why? With divine umbrella, we walk the road of life knowing full well that when we need help, big issue becomes small issues and small isues be no issue.

But we must live our own life and live the present well for Heaven cannot live life on our behalf. No one can. We must treasure the blessings of the present for the present is a present --- a  gift of fate and divine Heaven.

Cheers  Live life in the present but be mindful and wise.

Live life with the third eye

Each living life series will comprise 365 short articles one for each day of a year. The series will deal with how to live life. This short article is No 1 of living life series 1

Many of us live life but yet find that we do not have a life, so much so that some decide to give up and leave life. But can we really do so?

We cannot run away from life and many just end up jumping from frying pan into the fire.

Often, many go about hustle and bustle of life in haste and in huff and puff as time and tide wait for no man. True, time and tide wait for no man.

But do pause now and then and reconcile with what we want from life and how to make each life moment memorable and a pleasure to have.

Do eschew every moment and realise the beauty of things and events around us but do not day dream but move on.

Move on and be alive to each beautiful moment even if there will be moments we find unpleasant.

Awareness is  an attribute we often forget to treasure. Without being relaxed and aware, we only see the ugly moments and not the beautiful moments.

Awareness makes things come to life all around us and we become more thoughtful, insightful and composed to be able to handle easily life moments with less effort and in peace.

We will then be able to see things more clearly as though we have the mind's eye in addition to the two eyes beside our nose. We are able to handle issues with less effort. Big issues seem small and small issues seem no issue. This mind's eye is sometimes termed the divine eye or the eye of the God Nature in us. Often it is refered to as the third eye.

Do not forget to live and do live life with the third eye.
